I take on a limited number of custom paintings when the subject feels like a natural fit for my work. These pieces are created as one-of-a-kind original paintings, not prints or reproductions. Please use desktop for best results.

My commissions are best suited for nature-inspired subjects such as quiet landscapes, birds, wildlife, gardens, barns, fields, flowers, water, and meaningful places you want remembered in paint.

Is a Commission a Good Fit?

A custom painting may be a good fit if you love my painterly style and want something inspired by a place, memory, or subject — rather than an exact copy of a photograph.

I work from reference photos, but I interpret them through color, composition, brushwork, and feeling. The final painting will look like my work, with your subject as the inspiration.

Materials & Presentation

Custom paintings are created on professional canvas or panel surfaces — never paper.

Surfaces may include 1.5" deep linen canvas, Ampersand flat panel, or cradled wood panel. Some collectors prefer the feel of canvas, while others prefer the solid surface of wood panel. We can discuss the best surface for your painting based on size, subject, and display preferences.

Most larger commissions are created on 1.5" deep linen canvas, finished on the sides, varnished, signed, and ready to hang.

All commissioned paintings are created with professional acrylic paint and finished with a protective varnish.

Small custom originals start at $250.

Prices are starting points and may vary depending on subject, complexity, materials, and timeline. Local pickup may also be arranged. Additional shipping may apply for Alaska, Hawaii, or international orders.

How It Works

To begin, send a few reference photos along with your preferred size, subject, colors or reference one of my other paintings.

If the project feels like a good fit, we’ll discuss the size, painting surface, timeline, and overall direction for the piece. I’ll then provide a final quote before any work begins.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your commission and begin the painting. Deposits are handled through Venmo.

The remaining balance is due when the painting is complete, before shipping or pickup. Final payment may be made through Venmo, PayPal, or a custom checkout link on my website.

Artwork will not be shipped or released until the final payment has been received.

For larger commissions, payment plans may be available upon request and are handled through Venmo only.
